A ranking service that has tracked the competitive success of Finnish advertising agencies and campaigns over the past three years is getting a new host. Previously known as OMD Ranking, the service continues under the new name Outshine Ranking, as Outshine takes over the publication of the service under its own name.
Going forward, Outshine will be responsible for developing the ranking service and its continuation as a shared tool for the entire advertising industry together with RE: Media Oy.
"Creativity is the foundation of effective campaigns, especially when building a brand with a long-term perspective. That's why it's important to highlight creativity and its creators," says Outshine's Executive Vice PresidentMarkus Grannenfelt.
"Digital outdoor advertising is a good example of this: a strong creative idea stands out from the hustle and bustle of city streets, and it cannot be ad-blocked or skipped with a single click. This creates lasting impressions that have a long-term impact – and at best, also spark immediate interest and purchasing desire," he continues.
Cooperation is multi-year and the service will continue to be developed.
Ranking expands – now also featuring creators
The ranking was first published in 2023, when it listed the Finnish advertising agencies that performed best in competitions. Last year, campaigns were added to the service. Now the offering is expanding even further: advertising planners are being added.
Finnish advertising planners have not previously been systematically listed, with the exception of the Peak of the Year competition archive listings. Outshine Ranking now brings visibility to planners based on how many award-winning works they have been involved in.
Planners from award-winning campaigns between 2023–2025 have been entered into the service, totaling 340 creators. For example, in the 2025 listing, the most award-winning planner names are from TBWA\Helsinki (39) and Bob the Robot (31).
In the service, planners can also be organized by title. The most popular titles are Copywriter and Creative Director.
