As the football season gets underway, excitement returns to Bolt Arena and its surroundings. The partnership between HJK and Outshine brings the energy of the stadium, the tension of matchdays, and the latest updates from the Club directly to the city – in real-time and digitally. Four new digital displays have been installed in the windows facing Urheilukatu, ready to light up as the season gains momentum.
What’s going on in there? Who are we playing today? Who scored? When is Teemu Pukki’s birthday? Or maybe something else you’ve always wanted to know? Soon you’ll have the answers – the new digital displays give passers-by a glimpse into the daily life of the stadium and HJK. They’ll also showcase updates from the lunch restaurant, upcoming concerts, and other current events. For locals, the displays act as an open invitation to become part of the community and the new season – all it takes is a glance through the window.
"We want to make our home ground, Bolt Arena, a more accessible and lively part of the urban environment. Now people can walk by and immediately see what’s happening here, who’s playing next, and what else this iconic stadium has to offer,” says HJK’s Commercial Director Sirja Luomaniemi.
A Blend of Experience and Information

Thanks to the collaboration, city dwellers get closer to HJK’s players and match events. Outshine’s technology enables easy content updates, and integrations with sources such as the Finnish Football Association’s databases ensure real-time updates before, during, and after matches.
"The addition of digital displays brings Bolt Arena’s look and feel into the modern day. It allows us to share the emotions from pitchside beyond the stadium walls. These screens are like open doors and windows into us and the stadium," Luomaniemi continues.
Outshine is already excited about the season ahead. With the displays now up and running, the collaboration will continue with new plans and productions.
"This partnership has been incredibly energizing from the start – we immediately shared the same vision. HJK is a fantastic example of how technology, storytelling, and the sense of community in sports can come together in urban spaces in a way that benefits everyone," sums up Kasper Tanninen, Key Account Manager for the HJK partnership at Outshine.
A New Way to Be Seen and Make an Impact
Digital content will engage the public throughout the season and ensure that the Club stays visible even when the stadium lights go out. Content on the displays will be managed flexibly together with Outshine’s production team.
"The real-time nature of digital displays, their flexibility, and the future potential for video and interactive content give us entirely new opportunities – not just for HJK but for the whole Bolt Arena," says Juho Hirvonen, HJK’s Director of Communications and Marketing.
Even though the season is just beginning and the focus is on upcoming home games, new ideas are already taking shape.
"There’s nothing stopping us from expanding our presence across Outshine’s citywide network. We now have a partner and a platform that allow us to reach people better than ever. But first, let’s make the home field ours – also digitally. The future will tell where else the Club will shine," Hirvonen adds, heading off to his next meeting.
